What a wonderful cabin! This has been our best Christmas by far. This cabin is beautiful and all we could have hoped for. Decorations are perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Our littles absolutely loved the walk to the river, and thoroughly enjoyed gem mining in Blowing Rock. We even found snow! Trout fishing in Grandfather was awesome. Thank you!! |

Most relaxing weekend my husband and I have had in a long time! Our fur baby Sadie had a great time too. Walking down to the river, enjoying the firepit, and chilling in the hot tub were a few things we loved. We will be definitely be coming back to Wil-deer-ness Cabin. |

We had a fun return to the cabin, brought our kids and grandson with us, They loved it too. Really Chilly, great breakfast at Shatley Springs, my grandson counted 46 deer. We have 3 suggestions, 1) Bigger tv in bedroom 2)Brighter light bulb in bathroom 3) channel tv upstairs too. Thanks! |

The location was perfect! The road adn driveway is much more accessible than other cabins we've stayed at. We enjoyed the path to the river. A beautiful spot to swing and take in the beauty of the mountains and river! |

This is our third visit and as always we loved it. The warmth and welcomeness is awesome. This is a great place to relax and enjoy each other. We hiked and shopped and enjoyed great food. We enjoy the nearby areas for picnics and hiking and photographing beautiful sites like the Cascades Falls! The people in this area are very kind and genuine. What a great place. We like most that your cabin allows us to relax with the hot tub and the firepit and the serene view from the rockers on the porch! We are so very thankful to have found a relaxing place to stay that we know is well cared for and maintained to the utmost. We really appreciate your attention to detail and desire to make each stay very enjoyable!! Thank you for sharing this peace and quiet with us from the bottom of our heart. Looking forward to returning. |

This is our fourth stay at Wildeerness Cabin and we have savored every moment. We always enjoy everything it has to offer. We dined at Shatley Springs, visited Grayson Highlands State Park in Virgina dined at Smokey Mountain BBQ and Sweet and Savory in West Jefferson, and did some shopping. We walked down to the river and loved the new look. You guys think of everything. Above all we've had nice quiet, peaceful moments here that we cherish. We love the privacy, location, and all the amenities. I can't think of anywhere I'd rather celebrate our wedding anniversary. It is a hidden gem. We really love everything about Wildeerness Cabin and this area. We'll be returning soon. |

Warm and inviting cabin, all the character you want in a mountain retreat. Great privacy. Beautiful drive and we saw quite a few deer on the way. Not far from a very quaint downtown area with interesting shops and good restaurants. Had a wonderful time exploring the surrounding attractions like Grandfather Mountain and High Gravity Adventures. Perfect place for a long weekend getaway. |

The cabin is great - this whole part of NC is great! It rained almost constantly during our three days at Wil-Deer-Ness Cabin. As a result we relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the woods surrounding the cabin. Our twin "adventures" included fishing in the North Fork of the New River and exploring West Jefferson. We all read the books we brought. We really liked the layout and furnishings of the cabin. The directions to the cabin were clear and necessary. Everything worked and there were no surprises. That is important on short stays at new retreats. |

The Location was great, enjoyed the hot tub, and everything you needed was right in the cabin. We felt so welcome at the cabin, home away from home, no changes that I know of. The couple that own this cabin are very sweet and so helpful, will stay at the cabin again |

This was our first stay here at Wil-deer-ness Cabin, but will definitely not be our last. The cabin is so well kept and beautiful. Our goal this week was to get away from the hustle of every day life and work: to just relax and enjoy eash other. That definitely happened. We will spread the word of this beautiful place and we will be back! Thank You so much! |

This is truly God's Country! Everything from the decor, signs, bears on the trees, etc.. was very well planned. Peace and quiet was all around us. The weather was perfect! The swimming areas is wonderful! We walked in the river as far up and down as we could. Barney (my lab) had the best time! My sister and I thank you for sharing your Wil-deer-ness Cabin! P.S Going home today to put bears in my woods!. |

Thank you my family and I loved our stay here. Although a short visit, Wildeerness Cabin shall forever be in our hearts. This place is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated with plenty of hidden gems for the curious and observant mind. We hope that all who stay here have a safe and enjoyable visit and that they will have the opportunity to explore and clear their minds of needless worries. We hope for the best. We Greatly recommend Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia(not far and worth it) |

We learned about this cabin from my hairdresser in Cary NC. Michelle. My daughter and I decided to give it a try. There are so many things we loved about this cabin I don't know where to begin. Its beautiful,homey, anything you need is here. Its unbelieveable. We will be back- Now my daughter can give her 2 cents !! When mom and I booked our mother/daughter weekend, I suspected we would enjoy this cabin. But I under-estimated how much we would enjoy it! It is so cute and cozy and the beds are really comfy! And West Jefferson is about one of the cutest towns I've seen! The shops are adorable and the people are so friendly. We will definitely be back! |

This trip was a Christmas present from our daughter and son in law. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and loved every minute. The home was so cozy and inviting. Best idea ever. Loved this cabin and will be coming back. It was my 7 month old daughter's first trip. Can't wait to bring her back when she is older. Thank you So much for sharing this cabin. It feels so homey. What an awesome experience! |

We loved our 2nd stay at the Wil-deer-ness Cabin. This was an early 31st birthday present for me, but more importantly it was a much needed 7-day kid-free vacation for my husband and I. Our last trip away from the kids was nearly 2 years ago when we visited this cabin for the first time. Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for the next visit. It rained alot during our stay but we were happy to just relax with each other and enjoy the quiet. We did manage to do some great biking on the creeper trail. Got soaked and messy but had a blast, some tougher trails at Pond Mountain and one crazy trail at Greyson Highlands. Great workouts, we also visited all the shops downtown West Jefferson this time and really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing your cabin. |

The wil deer ness cabin was the perfect place and time for us. The peace and quiet and seclusion restored our body, mind and soul. Thank you for your thoughtfulness in providing the wonderful games, dvds, and indoor/outdoor activities. Your thorough notes and reminders were very helpful. We did not have to second guess anything. The blooming rhododendrons were the icing on the cake-sheer beauty and wonder. This was a perfect place for us to regroup and be able to return renewed to a busy life. |

What a way to spend our 30th wedding anniversary! This cabin is so perfect in so many ways. The weather was perfect, a little on the warmer side then we expected. We hiked, had camp fires, enjoyed the local eateries and shops. It was wonderful taking the trip down to the river(a nice hike)!! But well worth the view! This is our first time to this area and we look forward to returning to the warm and cozy cabin, a true delight! |

We Absolutely Love It!!!! Perfect place for a quiet getaway. It was exactly what we needed. Exactly as described. Secluded and private, very clean and a beautiful cabin. There was a lot of thought put into making this place a great getaway. Honestly can not think of any changes to make to the cabin, it was exactly as described on the web site. There is plenty to do at the cabin and plenty to do if you feel the need to venture out, West Jefferson is an excellent place to start. Definitely plan on visiting there again in the very near future. Thank you for a great time. |

Wil-deer-ness cabin is fabulous! It is equipped with everything you can think of to make your vacation a success. We are able to take day trips to Boone, Blowing Rock, enjoyed the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands Park in VA. and hiking at Mount Jefferson Park. West Jefferson is a quaint little town that you must visit. Especially enjoyed our little anniversary S'mores kit!! |

We loved everything about the cabin! Clean, well decorated, well appointed, indoor amenities, location. Although we didn't get to enjoy any of the outdoor amenities(snow & high winds), its obvious you've thought about everything! All the little details posted throughout the house and information provided in binders was extremely helpful. I wish I had the homeowners' organizational skills!:) |
